Tomek Wardega Sensei began practicing Aikido at the Technical University of Gdansk, Poland in 1989. In 1990 he traveled to Sheffield, England and practiced Jujitsu. In 1991 after coming back to Poland and not being able to find an Aikido dojo, he started practicing Karate.
Wardega Sensei resumed practicing Aikido in October 1996 - in Shaker Heights Aikido club affiliated with Mitsugi Saotome Shihan's Aikido Schoools of Ueshiba. He joined Cleveland Aikikai in 1998. He received
his shodan (first degree black belt) in 2002 and nidan (second degree black belt) in 2006 from Mitsugi Saotome Shihan. He became an instructor at Cleveland Aikikai in 2006.
